Mortgage Firm Leases Space in the Energy Corridor

HOUSTON – (Realty News Report) – NewRez LLC a national mortgage lending and servicing organization, has signed a long-term lease for 60,188-square-feet of office space at 17000 Katy Freeway in the Energy Corridor of West Houston.

Transwestern’s Executive Vice President Eric Anderson and Vice President Parker Burkett provided agency leasing services on behalf of the building owner, InSite 17000 KF LP an affiliate of Insite Realty Partners, LP.

NewRez, operating asShellpoint Mortgage Servicing, is currently located at 2020 S Dairy Ashford, and the firm will move in about four months, said Colliers executive vice president Marshall Clinkscales who represented NewRez.

“We are extremely excited to find a high-quality company to take the entire top floor at 17000 Katy Freeway, which offers many of the attributes NewRez was seeking to upgrade their image and increase efficiency,” said Burkett. “We look forward to having NewRez as a tenant to take advantage of the exceptional access and visibility 17000 Katy Freeway offers.”

The mortgage company’s name will be featured prominently with building top signage.

The 174,521-square-foot, Class-A office structure is now 70 percent leased but the entire ground floor consisting of 53,000 contiguous SF is currently available and can be demised to accommodate a variety of users.

The 17000 Katy Freeway project is near Barker Cypress Road and Park  Row Road, west of Highway 6 in Houston’s Energy Corridor. The Energy Corridor stretches along the Katy Freeway (Interstate 10) from Kirkwood Road to west of Barker Cypress Road, and extending south along Eldridge Parkway to south of Briar Forest Drive
