New Landry’s Kitchen Brand Expands to Sugar Land

SUGAR LAND, Texas – (Realty News Report) – A new Landry’s Kitchen restaurant offering Southern and coastal fare at affordable prices could soon be headed to Sugar Land.

Landry’s Kitchen, a Landry’s Inc. concept that made its debut in Corpus Christi in May, will take over the Brick House Tavern + Tap location at 19740 S. Southwest Freeway in Sugar Land, according to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. Both of the brands, along with the neighboring Saltgrass Steak House, are part of Landry’s Inc., the privately-held company owned by Houston billionaire Tilman Fertitta, who recently was appointed as U.S. Ambassador to Italy.

The 7,626-SF conversion and remodel of Brick House Tavern + Tap is expected to begin in February and wrap up in May 2026, according to the TDLR filing, which is subject to change. The project will convert a portion of uncovered patio into a gated children’s playground area. Additionally, a new shade trellis and vertical shade louvers will be added at the uncovered portion of patio.

Landry’s Kitchen is casual restaurant open daily for lunch and dinner. A report on the opening of Landry’s Kitchen in Nation’s Restaurant News said the restaurant is “designed to be the neighborhood go-to for good eats that won’t break the bank.” The Corpus Christi location previously housed Joe’s Crab Shack, another Landry’s concept.

The menu includes Shrimp or Chicken & Sausage Gumbo, Crawfish Étouffée, Kitchen Sink Nachos, Red Beans & Rice with fried fish and andouille sausage, grilled or fried seafood, Po-Boys, and burgers.

Sugar Land is one of three area locations for Brick House Tavern + Tap along with Galveston and Humble. The sports centric restaurant sells tavern fare along with an extensive selection of beer and hand-crafted cocktails.
