HOUSTON – (Realty News Report) – First Community Credit Union has acquired the former Noble Energy Center Two office tower along State Highway 249 in northwest Houston as its future headquarters.
The credit union, which serves more than 180,000 members, said the 20-story building positions the institution to enhance operational capabilities and expand strategically across Greater Houston.
“This investment in a world-class facility positions First Community Credit Union for decades of innovation, growth, and exceptional service,” said President & CEO TJ Tijerina in an announcement. “As Northwest Houston continues to thrive, our new headquarters will allow us to grow right alongside it, supporting our members, strengthening our workforce, and elevating the experience we deliver every single day. I can’t wait to see the FCCU star shining on this building.”
The 470,623-SF building, constructed on nearly 4.5 acres at 1002 Noble Energy Way in 2015, is near the southwest corner of State Highway 249 and Louetta Road in the Tomball area. Vintage Park, an open air mixed-use lifestyle center, is nearby.
FCCU plans to build out modern workpsace to occupy 50% of building and will lease the rest to third-party tenants.
Jeff Hollinden, Kevin McConn, and Max Myers of JLL Capital Markets brokered the sale.
The building was part of a two-building campus previously occupied by Noble Energy. It became surplus space following the company’s acquisition by Chevron in 2020. Noble Energy Center Two previously sold in 2023.
Noble’s first building – originally built as part of Compaq Computer Corporation’s campus in 1998 – was outfitted for its headquarters in 2012. The 10-story building at 1001 Noble Energy Way was acquired by Austin-based Capital Commercial Investments in late 2024.
Chevron, which relocated its headquarters from San Ramon, Calif. to downtown Houston in 2024, is expanding its real estate footprint in Houston. The company is planning a research and development campus in Bridgeland near the Texans’ proposed headquarters, practice facility, and Toro mixed-use district.
First Community Credit Union was founded in 1954 by Spring Branch ISD. It has 14 full-service branches and $2.9 billion in assets.
