HOUSTON – The Novare Group is planning another SkyHouse-branded residential high-rise tower in downtown Houston.

The 24-story building will be located across the street from its recently completed SkyHouse Houston, 1625 Main Street.

The new building, called SkyHouse Main, will be a 335-unit project with ground-floor retail. Construction on the 24-story will begin later this year and is slated to be finished in early 2016.

SkyHouse Main will be built on a block bounded by Main, Fannin, Pease and Jefferson.

SkyHouse Main will join a growing list multifamily rental projects that are under development in downtown Houston. Hines, Marvy Finger, Woodbranch, Trammell Crow, Marquette Cos., Leon Capital and Camden Property Trust, Allied Orion Group and Allied Residential all have projects under construction or in the planning stages.

SkyHouse specifically targets 25-34 year old single young professionals who desire an affordable urban lifestyle.

Novare, based in Atlanta, has been worked in Houston on previous projects in partnership with veteran Houston developer Peter W. Dienna of DNA Partners, Batson-Cook Development Co. and Simpson Housing.

Also under construction in Houston is the 25-story, 352-unit, SkyHouse River Oaks tower, located 2031 Westcreek Lane near San Felipe and Loop 610.

Novare also has SkyHouse residential projects in cities including Charlotte, N.C.; Atlanta, Raleigh, N.C.; Dallas; Austin and Orlando.
