AUSTIN – (Realty News Report’s People in Real Estate) – CBRE announced that a four-person retail leasing team has joined CBRE’s Advisory & Transaction Services practice in Austin. The team is led by Will Majors, who is joining CBRE as a Senior Vice President. His team includes Carson Hawley, Adelaide Ehrlich, and Davis Franklin. They join CBRE from SRS Real Estate Partners to focus on representing both landlords and tenants in the leasing of retail property throughout Central Texas.
HOUSTON – Melissa Gerber Brams was named president and CEO of Gerber Realty, a Houston-based commercial real estate brokerage, The company was founded by her father David Gerber in 1989. Melissa serves as Chair of the Sponsorship Committee of Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) of Houston.
HOUSTON – Derrick Bracks was named managing director of capital markets — health care and life sciences for Stealth Realty Advisors. The company is a subsidiary of Houston-based TICI Group of Companies, which is led by Helen Mediola Banks.
AUSTIN — DAHLIN Architecture | Planning | Interiors is expanding its Austin office with the hiring of senior principals Michael Padavic and Dan Sokolosky. They most recently led the design team at Austin-based StoryBuilt. Padavic and Sokolosky’s support will include Indigo and the 4,700-acre Austin Point, two master planned communities Fort Bend County. with DAHLIN serving as the town architect.
AUSTIN – Hunter Hotel Advisors is opening an Austin office, led by Kami Burnette and Mason McDavid, who join Hunter from Paramount Lodging Advisors. Since 2017, Burnette and McDavid have executed more than $500 million in hotel transactions, primarily in Texas.
LOS ANGELES – JLL’s Value and Risk Advisory platform has hired Ken Wood as a Director in its Los Angeles office. Wood will work with Kai Pan, who leads the national multi-housing practice for the group, and Aaron DeCollibus, who leads the West Coast multi-housing team.
