HOUSTON – (Realty News Report) – Colliers appointed Cody Persyn to the Houston retail team as Senior Vice President, where he will specialize in multi-market corporate dispositions of retail buildings and excess land. Persyn brings more than 20 years of commercial real estate experience in the retail sector.
“Colliers Houston’s rapid growth of our retail platform continues with the addition of an industry icon, Cody Persyn,” said Colliers Houston President, Patrick Duffy. “Retail will be the major growth focus for Colliers Houston in the coming years to bring it alongside the company’s prominent industrial, land and office teams.”
Most recently, Persyn was a Principal at SRS Real Estate Partners. Before that, Persyn worked for CBRE as Vice President.
Persyn received his Masters in Land Economics and Real Estate from Texas A&M University.
HOUSTON – Martha Turner Sotheby’s International Realty announced that Allison Johanson (Penrod) has been appointed vice president of sales for the company’s six offices in Houston, Texas. As VP of sales, she will assist with leading the local brokerage operation’s strategic growth, agent recruitment and development, and sales transaction consultation.
HOUSTON – Hartman Income REIT Management appointed Michael Racusin as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary. He previously served as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for Luby’s.
CHICAGO– JLL announced that Tina Ju was elected to serve as an independent, non-executive member of its Board of Directors. Ju is a founding partner of KPCB China and TDF Capital. Ju began her venture capital career in 1999. She co-founded VTDF China in 2000 and KPCB China in 2007. Earlier in her career, Ju worked at Deutsche Bank as head of TMT and Transport Asia; at Merrill Lynch as head of Asia Technology; and at Goldman Sachs. “Tina’s expertise, market knowledge and ability to engage with leading entrepreneurs and successful enterprises will be invaluable as we continue our focus on JLL’s exciting future growth potential in Asia, and particularly in China,” said Christian Ulbrich, JLL CEO.
DALLAS – PJ Behr joined Spirit Realty as Vice President of Acquisitions in Dallas. In this role, he is responsible for sourcing, marketing, analyzing and overseeing the acquisition of new investment real estate opportunities, with a primary focus in the retail, office and entertainment sectors.
AUSTIN – Avenue5 Residential, a multifamily property management services firm, announced Stephani Park has been appointed senior vice president of operations in Texas. Park will lead a regional leadership team of vice presidents and regional managers overseeing more than 40 multifamily and single-family assets and 10,000 units. Prior to joining Avenue5, Park served in leadership roles for Roscoe Property Management, Oden Hughes Management, and Riverstone Residential Group. She currently serves as president of the Austin Apartment Association.
HOUSTON – Patten Title Company, a real estate title and closing services company, hired Juliana Davila as Senior Escrow Officer and Branch Manager for the company’s new Memorial office off of I-10 and Gessner near Memorial City Mall.
DALLAS – Arcosa Inc., a provider of infrastructure-related products and solutions, appointed Gail Peck as its Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer.
SYDNEY, Australia – Hines announced three new strategic hires for the firm’s Asia Pacific Region. Alysia Reilly joins the firm as Director and Head of Logistics, Australia.Sam Bisla joins as Director and Head of Living, Australia. A Hines veteran for the past 25 years, Ricardo Gonzalez will be relocating from Hines Mexico to Hines Australia to serve as the Vice President and Head of Property Management and Operations and will head up property management and operations across the Asia Pacific region.
LOS ANGELES– Broadshore Capital Partners named Michael Kane as Vice President, West Coast Acquisitions. Kane will be based in the Los Angeles office of Broadshore, which has an active multifamily investment program.
NEW YORK– Updater, a technology company powering the relocation industry, appointed former WeWork and DoorDash executive Josh Abrams as its Chief Product Officer.
