AUSTIN – Austin’s Gary Keller, chairman of Keller Williams Realty, is acquiring the famed Saxon Pub, a music venue on South Lamar Blvd. in Austin, according to a report by Shonda Novak of the Austin American Statesman.
Keller plans to preserve and continue operations of Saxon Pub, which has hosted hundreds of musicians. Recent acts at the Saxon Pub include Texas-based Bubble Puppy, the outstanding rock band that recorded the single “Hot Smoke and Sassafras” which peaked at No. 14 on the charts in 1969.
Keller Williams has 152,000 agents that registered third quarter closings of $78.9 billion.
