Realty News Report editor Ralph Bivins has selected the most significant projects, deals and ideas of the Houston real estate market for 2015. These aren’t necessarily the largest or the first. But the deals point to future trends, potential gold mines, noble visions and notable accomplishments by the smart professionals who are making them happen.
Ralph Bivins’ Realty News Report Awards – The Best of Houston 2015:
Realty News Report Award for:
Best Retail Project of the Year – With a vision for a major redevelopment, Houston’s Fidelis Realty Partners acquired the 1.2 million square foot San Jacinto Mall in Baytown. Led by Alan Hassenflu, Fidelis has deep experience with Houston retail centers. With this deal, Hassenflu is endorsing the blossoming of Houston’s east side where residential development has rekindled as some $50 billion is being spent for chemical plant expansions. So Fidelis will redevelop this east side regional mall into shopping center that is more attuned to today’s shoppers. More importantly, it gives an added push to east side momentum.
