Sizmek Relocates HQ to Austin

AUSTIN – Sizmek Inc., an online ad management platform company, is relocating its Dallas headquarters to Austin and will move into a new building in Austin’s downtown.

Sizmek, represented by CBRE, signed a 17,077-square-foot lease at IBC Bank Plaza in the Austin Central Business District.

Endeavor Real Estate Group is developing the 194,749-square-foot, Class A office tower at 500 West 5th Street. According to Endeavor, the office portion of the project is 90 percent leased.

“The decision by Sizmek to land at IBC Bank Plaza in the CBD is indicative of the trend we are seeing with many technology-based operating companies. The 24-hour, downtown live and work atmosphere is appealing to firms looking to attract the best and brightest talent base. We are confident they will be comfortable in this location and will benefit from the quality and layout of their new premises,” added Jerry Frey, Senior Vice President with CBRE.

The company’s online advertising focus fits well with Austin and its growing role as the home of both established and start-up Internet companies. Sizmek already has a sales and operations office in Austin. Those employees will join several executives relocating from Dallas in their new downtown headquarters.

”Austin is a burgeoning, vibrant center of the tech community, with a growing number of both start-ups and more established companies, and an ideal place for us to be headquartered,” said Jack Reynolds, Corporate Vice President of Sizmek’s Global Human Resources. “We will no doubt contribute to the ‘Keep Austin Weird’ movement—and I suspect we will be influenced by it as well.”

Will Douglas and Jerry Frey of CBRE, represented Sizmek in site selection and lease negotiations. CBRE’s Project Management team is guiding the design service selection and construction process for Sizmek’s office build out. Travis Dunaway and Jonathan Tate, with Endeavor, represented the landlord.
