Trademark’s Luxe Shopping District in The Woodlands Adds 7 Retailers

HOUSTON – (Realty News Report) – Market Street – The Woodlands, an open-air, mixed-use center in the heart of The Woodlands, welcomes seven new tenants that expand the project’s luxury and lifestyle offerings.

Located at 9595 Six Pines Drive in The Woodlands, Market Street is owned by an affiliate of Trademark Property Co. and Institutional Mall Investors. It is managed by Trademark, a Fort Worth-based investor, developer, and operator of mixed-use real estate based that began development of Market Street – The Woodlands in 2002.

The new additions consist of:

David Yurman, a luxury American designer jewelry brand for men and women; Market Street is the second Houston location for the jeweler, which has newly remodeled and expanded store in The Galleria.

Draper James, a lifestyle brand for women founded by Reese Witherspoon in 2015; The Woodlands represents the third store for the brand, which operates a Nashville flagship and a location at the Nashville International Airport.

Pink Chicken, a store with vintage-inspired children’s clothing in fun, original prints and patterns; Market Street is Pink Chicken’s first store in Texas and 11th in the U.S.

Le Labo, a fine fragrance brand founded in Grasse, France; Market Street will be Le Labo’s fourth Texas location upon opening early next year. Merchandise includes perfumes, candles, shampoo, lotion, and more.

LoveShackFancy, a New York City-based brand selling feminine pieces inspired by vintage garments. The first Houston location opened in River Oaks District in 2012.

Gorjana, a California-based retailer of fashion and fine jewelry, now has five locations in Houston including others in Montrose Collective, the Village, Heights Mercantile, and Baybrook Mall.

Local Public Eatery, a neighborhood restaurant serving American comfort food; Market Street represents its third Texas location. It brings Market Street’s count to 15 restaurants, including Sixty Vines, True Food Kitchen, Mastros Ocean Club, Bosscat Kitchen and Libations, and The Audrey Restaurant & Bar.

Market Street – The Woodlands is across from the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, about 25 miles north of Houston. With 400,000 SF of retail space, Market Street has attracted one of the highest concentrations of upscale brands in Houston. Stores include Gucci, Tiffany & Co., Louis Vuitton, Yves Saint Laurent, Golden Goose, Oliver Peoples, BOSS, Chanel Fragrance & Beauty, Lululemon, and Jo Malone. The walkable mixed-use campus also contains an H-E-B grocery store; 115,000 SF of office; and a 70-room, 70,000-SF Hyatt Centric hotel.

“For over two decades, Market Street has emerged as the foremost representation for luxury, upscale retail outside the Galleria area in the Houston MSA, becoming one of the highest performing suburban retail destinations in the country,” said Terry Montesi, CEO of Trademark. “In the last five to six years, we’ve worked to evolve Market Street’s merchandising mix to include even more new-to-market, in-demand retailers, restaurants, and lifestyle tenants that enhance the property’s role in the community and drive continued success. These latest lease signings are a result of that effort.”

The Galleria and River Oaks District have also added a number of new stores, including several luxury retailers, in time for the holidays. Holiday spending is expected to be up 2.7% to 3.7% this year, according to the National Retail Federation.

Trademark Properties is leading the development of a mixed-use district in the Dunham Pointe master-planned community on Houston’s northwest side. Located at Highway 290 near Mason Road in Cypress, the project could encompass 205,000 SF of retail on 25 acres.
