HOUSTON – Skanska USA has purchased a 21-acre site in the Energy Corridor district of west Houston for a future office park, according to a report in the Houston Business Journal. The property, 15375 Memorial Drive, has a 350,000-square-foot building that was formerly used as the offices of Arco.
Russell Ingrum of CBRE represented the seller, Allstate Insurance.
The Skanska redevelopment could include two or three office buildings, the newspaper said.
The Energy Corridor is home to numerous prominent energy and energy services companies including Mustang Engineering, BP America, ConocoPhillips, Shell Exploration and Production, Foster Wheeler USA, ExxonMobil Chemical Company, Worley Parsons, CITGO and hundreds of supporting engineering firms. The Energy Corridor runs along Interstate Highway 10 from Barker Cypress to Kirkwood and extends south along Eldridge Parkway to Briar Forest.
