Spencer Ogden Leases Office Space in GreenStreet in Downtown Houston

GreenStreet, a mixed-use project in downtown Houston, by Midway Cos. and Lionstone Investments.

HOUSTON – Spender Ogden, a London-based energy, engineering and infrastructure recruitment agency, announced that it is tripling the size of its Houston office and relocating to GreenStreet at 1201 Fannin in downtown Houston.

Bill Boyer and Collin Grimes of CBRE represented the tenant. Damon Thames, Connor Saxe and Vince Drake of Colvill Office Properties represented the landlord.

The firm will move into a 12,000 SF space in GreenStreet, a 570,000-SF mixed-use project covering three blocks in downtown Houston. GreenStreet, developed by Houston-based Midway offer office, shopping, dining and entertainment options, as well as The Lawn, a central open air green space. GreenStreet is home to III Forks, McCormick & Schmick’s, House of Blues, Lucky Strike and NRG’s regional headquarters.

Valencia Hotels and Midway are developing Hotel Alessandra – a 223-room luxury hotel slated to open in GreenStreet this fall.

The Spencer Ogden’s office space in GreenStreet will have an open floor plan.

“We want the new office to be a surprise for our employees. While we’ll always push for functionality, each office has a unique look specific to their location,” said David Bumby, Head of Operations for Spencer Ogden’s North American region. “The Houston office is no different; we have a very open concept with a mixture of polished concrete floors, AstroTurf, cowhide furniture and an Old World, Texas feel. This will be an exciting reveal for our local team.”

While many companies may not be comfortable incorporating such dramatic design elements into a corporate work setting, Bumby says it works for them. “People look forward to visiting our offices and seeing our brand on display as much as they enjoy working with us. Our unique style sets us apart and our offices are a great visualization of the Company.”

Spencer Ogden’s trademark flooring and diner-style kitchen, retro features and a nod toward the company’s British roots will remain intact.
