Star Cinema Grill Grows: Redo in Baybrook; New Outlet in Springwoods

The future entry of Star Cinema Grill in Baybrook with self service kiosk.

HOUSTON – (Realty News Report) – Star Cinema Grill, a Houston-based dine-in theater group, is starting a major redo of its Baybrook Mall location, even though the theater is only four years old.

“While this renovation might seem premature to some, it was important for us to continue to take care of the community that gave this company its great start many years ago,” said Jason Ostrow, vice president of development at Star Cinema Grill. “In an era when entertainment content is so readily available, our goal is to constantly exceed expectations and provide an experience that you can’t have at home, harkening back to the golden age of movies.”

Baybrook Mall is located on the southeast side of Houston near the Gulf Freeway at Bay Area Boulevard.  Sales in Baybrook Mall are exceptional and it ranks as one of the leading large-scale shopping centers in Houston, according to Jason Gaines, head of retail at the NAI Partners commercial real estate firm.

The Star Cinema will be renovated in two phases, allowing for continual operations.

On the north side of Houston, Star Cinema Grill will open in September in CityPlace, in Springwoods Village near the Exxon Mobil campus. The 1,200-seat, 10-screen facility was designed by Gensler.
