HOUSTON – (Realty News Report) – The Storyhive video production firm is redeveloping an Eastwood building at 4010 Canal St., located less than two miles east of downtown.
The 15,000-SF building, which was recently acquired by Storyhive, will be featured in the structure during the Eastwood Civic Association’s Annual Historic Home Tour this weekend on Oct. 19 and 20.
Boutique video production firm, The Storyhive, was founded by Houston filmmakers Alex Luster, Tom Gandy and Jena Moreno. More than a dozen Storyhive producers, videographers, editors and graphic artists create videos and animations for many of Houston’s energy companies, financial firms and other businesses.
The building is now being renovated by Texana Builders and Abel Design Group. The facility will be one of the largest purpose-built media production studios inside of Houston’s 610 Loop.
The studio will be equipped with a professionally installed lighting grid. The building will also include a green room, conference room, dedicated editing suite, kitchen studio and warehouse space — all available for rent for commercial and independent projects. The property includes a 9,000-SF parking lot for clients and production crews and the building’s large vehicle access doorway will give clients the ability to showcase heavy equipment in their videos.
A muralist will be painting the exterior of the building during home tour this weekend.
