HOUSTON – New York-based Silverpeak Real Estate Partners and Houston based Cameron Management announced that Stream Realty Partners has been awarded the leasing assignment at 1001 McKinney, a Art Deco building constructed in 1947.

The recently renovated 375,440 SF office building is located at the intersection of McKinney and Main streets, adjacent to the Main Street METRORail station in downtown. Formerly known as the City National Bank Building, the 24-story building was designed by Alfred C. Finn. It is currently 85 percent leased.

“We are excited to communicate the new features and benefits of 1001 McKinney, a landmark building, to the market,” said Amanda Nebel, senior associate of Stream. “Those renovations are reflected in a new entry and lobby, the attached parking garage, a new conference facility and numerous upgrades, 1001 is a true gem and we are eager to reintroduce it to the tenant community.”

The building is connected to the downtown tunnel system, with access to the most popular amenities, and is also near many other downtown amenities, such as Discovery Green, and the Shops at Houston Center. The building is among an impressive lineup of some of Houston’s most premier real estate.

“We are excited to establish our relationship with Silverpeak in Houston,” said Craig McKenna, vice president of Stream. “We understand their goal of continuing to elevate the quality and stature of the building in the market, and we have developed a strong strategy to achieve that goal.”

Stream Realty Partners represents institutional global clients in leasing and management assignments. The Houston team leases another building on McKinney Street, Five Houston Center. Across the Houston market, Stream leases and/or manages over 36 million square feet of commercial product.
