HOUSTON –  (Realty News Report) – Taylor Morrison, a home builder based in Scottsdale, Ariz., has acquired 107 acres from the Brazos Bend Trust for an expansion of the Avalon at Riverstone community.

The property will provide 300 lots for the builder’s two brands, Taylor Morrison and Darling Homes.

The builder will donate 10 acres of land to the Missouri City Parks and Recreation Department for a park to be named after Houston businessman Lloyd Peter Byler. Byler contributed the land to the Brazos Bend Ranch Trust in 1993 for the benefit of his children and their descendants. Byler, who passed away in 2017, worked in the heavy petroleum products trading field.

“This is an excellent opportunity for us to expand our signature Avalon at Riverstone community while also preserving land that Mr. Byler cherished,” said Amy Rino, president of Taylor Morrison’s homebuilding operations in Houston.

Taylor Morrison Home Corp. is traded on the New York Stock Exchange.
