HOUSTON – Thor Equities is developing a 250,000-SF retail project anchored by a Lowe’s home improvement store in the Cinco Ranch community in Katy, west of Houston.

“We are excited to welcome Lowe’s to The Shoppes at Cinco Ranch, which will be a center point for shopping, dining and entertainment for Cinco Ranch, one of the Houston area’s fastest growing communities,” said Joseph Sitt, CEO of New York-based Thor Equities.

The Shoppes at Cinco Ranch will be located on 35 acres at the northwest corner of FM 1093 and Spring Green Boulevard, in the southern part of the 8,100-acre Cinco Ranch community.

Thor Equities is also developing the mixed-use development Kirby Collection in Houston’s Inner Loop. The 1 million-square-foot project will have a 25-story residential tower with 199 apartments; a 13-story, 210,000-SF office building; and two levels of prime retail space totaling 65,000 SF.

The Kirby Collection site is on the east side of Kirby Drive, just north of Richmond Avenue. The Settegast-Kopf funeral home once operated on the Kirby Collection site. Just a few blocks from Thor’s Kirby Drive site, the Midway Cos. is developing the Kirby Grove mixed-use project with 270 multifamily units and 250,000 SF of office space adjacent to Levy Park.
