HOUSTON – A new Westin has opened, adding to the hotel inventory in The Woodlands.
The Westin at The Woodlands opened its doors in Town Center this month. The 302-room hotel is located at 2 Waterway Square Place.
The Howard Hughes Corp., parent of The Woodlands Development Co., said it has completed 913 hotel rooms in The Woodlands over the past 5 years.
A 205-key Embassy Suites opened at the Hughes Landing section of The Woodlands last year.
Howard Hughes Corp. recently recapped other development activity in The Woodlands in 2015: “During 2015 we completed several major developments totaling over one million square feet, the majority of which are located in The Woodlands north of Houston:
- Two office buildings constructed for ExxonMobil totaling 649,000 square feet.
- 126,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space anchored by Whole Foods Market at Hughes Landing.
- Creekside Village Green, a 75,000 square foot mixed use project also located in The Woodlands.”
