PLANO, Texas – (Realty News Report) — Trammell Crow Co. has acquired the 16-acre SMU campus in Plano for a future development.
Newmark Knight Frank handled the sale of the SMU-in-Plano campus, including four buildings on 16 acres located at 5228-5236 Tennyson Parkway in Plano.
The SMU-in-Plano campus is a satellite campus of Southern Methodist University (SMU), nationally ranked private university, and includes Guildhall, SMU’s graduate video game development program; the Center for Family Counseling, and the Center for Dispute Resolution and Conflict Management.
“This sale provided SMU the opportunity and ability to redeploy capital to its main campus and create cohesiveness between all programs,” said NKF Executive Managing Director, Rebecca Griffin. Along with Griffin, NKF Executive Managing Director Lispah Hogan and Director Sara Fredericks, represented SMU in the sale.
Located in Legacy Business Park, the SMU-in-Plano campus is in one of the fastest growing employment centers in the country, recently having become home to Toyota, Liberty Mutual Insurance, JPMorgan and other corporate headquarters.
