HOUSTON – (Realty News Report) – Wood Partners, a national multifamily development firm, is building a 338-unit apartment project on Main Street, near NRG Stadium.

The four-story community, constructed in wrap configuration around a parking garage, will be complete in the spring of 2020, Wood Partners said in a press release.

The developers say the community – called Alta Med Main – will draw tenants from the Texas Medical Center.

“Alta Med Main is poised to benefit from Houston’s ever expanding Texas Medical Center,” said Bart Barrett, Managing Director for Wood Partners’ Houston Office.\

The Alta Med Main, 9330 Main St., is located near Buffalo Speedway and Loop 610. The Wood Partners apartment community will be built adjacent to the new 316-unit Tradition Senior Living Buffalo Speedway.

The site is south of the Texas Medical Center, which has mploys over 106,000 people and includes over 21 hospitals, two specialty institutions, three medical schools and six nursing programs.
