Central Park Station, a huge transit-oriented development, has been announced by Forest City and NKF.

DENVER – Central Park Station, a 4-million-square-foot mixed-use transit-oriented development, has been launched in Denver.

First phase construction will begin next year with Central Park Station One, a 190,000-SF office building, a 300-unit multifamily rental project, a 120-unit condominium project and 60,000 SF of retail space, all integrated around an expansive public plaza, Forest City Realty Trust and the Newmark Knight Frank announced.

The development is near the Central Park Station train lines and offers a fifteen-minute commute to Denver Union Station in downtown.

The masterplan for Forest City Stapleton’s Central Park Station TOD includes 4 million SF over 70 acres, with office, residential, and retail components including over 1,000 units of multifamily rental housing product, 400 condominium units and a 120-room hotel.

“Employers can leverage the population of the Stapleton community and the highly educated resident labor pool,” said Tim Harrington of NKF, which is handling leasing and marketing for the project. “Stapleton was designed to appeal to the workforce of the future who will value the community’s access, amenities, housing and hospitality choices.”

Located on the site of Denver’s former international airport, Stapleton is one of the largest urban redevelopments in the United States.
