HOUSTON – (Realty News Report) – Newly formed, Houston-based Sekai Hospitalityis set to open its initial two nightclubs in Houston this fall.
WYLD CHLD
The first will be located in the former Benjys restaurant at 5922 Washington Avenue. The new facility is described as an “elevated boutique nightclub.” It shall be called WYLD CHLD.Brooklyn, New York designer Marc Dizon, whose international work spans two collaborations in Rome with famed architect Richard Meier to Hakkasan Las Vegas, and The Druid Garden in Bangalore, India is bringing his highly sought-after aesthetic to approximately 7,500 SF of interior space, split between and main floor and stage, plus a 1,300-SF patio and 1,000-SF rooftop terrace. The Washington Avenue Corridor has developed as a popular location for restaurants and clubs.
SEKAI DAY AND NIGHT
The second club will be located in the EaDo area near the east side of downtown. A former warehouse at 1505 Saint Emanuel Street is being redeveloped for a nightclub called SEKAI DAY AND NIGHT. The Houston office of award-winning Cairo, Egypt-based firm Studio Five is overseeing the design. Encompassing 26,000 SF, elements will include a 36-foot main bar, 27 VIP tables and stadium-style seating, as well as a 1,000-SF resort pool with 16 cabanas, 17 VIP couches and 10 day beds.
The organization describes SEKAI DAY AND NIGHT as a “mega club, where an immersive, festival-like feeling of sights and sounds will envelop guests in the largest indoor/outdoor space of its kind in the city.”
A Worldly City
