LAS VEGAS – (Realty News Report) – CBRE has opened its new Las Vegas office, demonstrating CBRE’s Workplace360 workplace design and innovation strategy.
FUTURE of WORK
The 19,000-SF Las Vegas office is part of CBRE’s Workplace360 program, the company’s long-standing approach to workplace strategy for its corporate offices. The space showcases CBRE’s “Future of Work” space standards, including innovative technology and a wider variety of collaborative spaces, designed to support hybrid working. CBRE launched its Workplace360 program in 2012 and has since opened 100 Workplace360 offices across the globe.
“We know from our own experience over the last decade that there is not a ‘one size fits all’ approach to designing an office because everyone works differently. The Las Vegas office embraces flexibility by offering ultimate choice in where and how people work – all guided by feedback from our employees throughout the project,” said Cassie Catania-Hsu, managing director of CBRE’s Las Vegas market. “And our flexible strategy is a model for our clients as they adapt their policies, office floorplans and their overall office portfolios to accommodate hybrid formats of in-office and remote work.”
A cornerstone of the Workplace360 model is its “free address” approach where there is no assigned seating. As many companies move to hybrid work models, a free address approach enhances space utilization as all workstations can be used by employees who are in the office on a given day, rather than sitting empty when a desk is assigned to someone who is working remotely for the day.
“For new Workplace360 locations such as Las Vegas, we are prioritizing high-quality healthy buildings, access to functional outdoor space, and elevated building amenities that complement our activity-based workplace and advance our net zero emissions targets – all things we found at UnCommons,” said Peter Van Emburgh, global head of CBRE’s corporate real estate.
“Mid-Century Refined Industrial”
A CBRE employee committee chose the new office’s design concept – “mid-century refined industrial” – to match the overall design of the UnCommons development. A main design feature includes local artist Jerry Misko’s painted mural in the café that represents Nevada’s lights and energy of the city. Additionally, the workplace showcases conference rooms named after casinos from the past.
CBRE engaged many of its own services on the project, including CBRE Design Collective for the workplace design, Consulting for workplace strategy research and change management, and Project Management.
The CBRE office is in the UnCommons, a 40-acre mixed-use development constructed with WELL certification standards for health and wellness. CBRE, located at 8548 Rozita Lee Avenue, occupies an entire floor of one of UnCommons’ five office buildings. CBRE moved from 3993 Howard Hughes Parkway.
UnCommons is being developed by Matter Real Estate Group and once complete, will feature five office buildings.
CBRE recently opened an office in San Antonio.
