Specialty Superstore Opens in Meyerland

HOUSTON – (Realty News Report) – Floor & Decor set an opening date for its Meyerland area store in its latest expansion across the Houston market.

The Atlanta-based retailer, which specializes in hard-surface flooring for homeowners and professionals, will hold a grand opening at 4800 W. Bellfort on June 4. Occupying more than 56,000 SF, it will be the 13th Houston-area warehouse store and design center since entering the market in 2004.

The Meyerland store, which took over the shuttered Meyer Park Randalls grocery store, will open with 40 employees. Products include tile, wood, laminate, vinyl, natural stone, and installation materials.

“Opening another Houston-area location in Meyerland is an exciting milestone for our team,” said Chadwick Gunner, the store’s Chief Executive Merchant. “For more than 25 years, Floor & Decor has focused on making quality hard-surface flooring and tile accessible to everyone, and we’re proud to extend that commitment to this community.”

Joan Collum of Partners assisted Floor & Décor with the new location.

Another retailer will mark its expansion in Houston this week. Sprouts Farmers Market will hold a grand opening of its new Webster store in Baybrook Crossing Friday. That store is backfilling a former Party City location.

Boilerplate: Founded in 2020, Floor & Decor operates more than 275 warehouse-format stores and five design studios across 39 states. The company reported nearly $4.7 billion in sales in 2025, up 5% over the previous year.
