Taylor Morrison Homes Buys Land

HOUSTON – (Realty News Report) – Taylor Morrison Homes has acquired 56 acres of land north of Houston in the Montgomery area for single-family development, Colliers reported.

The property is located within Montgomery Independent School District in Montgomery County, less than a mile north of Highway 105.

“This tract, strategically located off Lone Star Parkway, was ideal for a single-family development. Taylor Morrison did an exceptional job navigating the entitlement process, allowing them to close and bring new homes to the area,” said Harrison Kane of Colliers. “While many commercial real estate sectors have slowed, the Land Advisory Team at Colliers has seen single-family residential development tracts remain very active with strong demand.”

Taylor Morrison Homes, the seventh largest home builder in the nation. was represented in the land acquisition by Harrison Kane, Chris Hutcheson, and James Kadlick of Colliers.

Montgomery County is one of the fastest growing counties in the nation and it has top rated schools, said Kyle McAndrews of Taylor Morrison Homes, which is based in Scottsdale, Ariz.

In the last few years, Taylor Morrison has purchased over 1,500 acres and is working to build 5,000 homes in the Houston area. Its customers range from first-time home buyers  to  first time homebuyers to retirees

In July 2021, it was announced Taylor Morrison  purchased 391 lots from Hines in the Tomball area.

Taylor Morrison has also been active in the build-to-rent sector, constructing single-family homes intended as rental properties. In 2022, the builder announced the introduction of a BTR brand called Yardly to construct rental homes with backyards.
