DALLAS – Avera, a commercial real estate development, construction and investment firm, has announced the development of an institutional quality distribution center in Dallas.

The 345,150 square-foot project will be situated on 18.8 acres, at the northwest corner of State Highway 161 (George Bush Tollway) and January Lane.

Avera, a Houston-based firm led by Trey Odom, reported: “The development is centrally located in the highly desired Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington area, less than 12 miles south of DFW Airport, with easy access to both I-20 and I-30.”

The building was designed by Powers Brown Architecture, and civil engineering was provided by Pacheco Koch. Avera Construction will be the general contractor.

Park 161 reflects the continued expansion of Avera within the DFW market, where Avera owns more than 800,000 square feet.

In Houston, Avera is developing the 600,000-square-foor 225 RailPort, is located on 47 acres at Beltway 8 and Highway 225, near the Port of Houston. It will be one of the largest rail-served properties in southeast Texas.

Avera also develops crane-served industrial buildings in the oilfields, including the Permian Basin and Eagle Ford Shale.
