HOUSTON – (Realty News Report) – CBRE announced that Peter Mainguy has been promoted to Senior Managing Director and Market Leader for the company’s Houston office. He will oversee all Advisory Services lines of business and drive strategic initiatives and growth in the Houston market.
Mainguy has 14 years of commercial real estate experience, most recently as CBRE’s Managing Director for Occupier Services in Houston.
Mainguy will also continue to lead CBRE’s Occupier Services business in Houston, which he has done successfully since 2017. He will work closely with Mark Taylor, who as Senior Managing Director for Investor Services, will continue to lead CBRE’s investor leasing, capital markets and property management business lines.
“Peter’s diverse background makes him the ideal leader to build on the success of our Houston business,” said Michael Caffey, CBRE’s President, South-Central Division and Latin America. “His experience leading our occupier practice coupled with a decade in brokerage and the time he spent on the client side of the business have made him uniquely positioned for this role. I’m confident our people and our business will thrive under his leadership.”
Mainguy previously served as the head of global real estate for Sysco Corp., where he was responsible for the company’s 46-million-SF portfolio in North America, Europe and Asia. Prior to Sysco, he was a successful industrial/land broker at CBRE.
“With our unmatched platform and market-leading professionals, we are very well positioned to continue delivering exceptional outcomes for our clients,” Mainguy said.
Mainguy holds a degree in Business Administration from The Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley.
