DAYTON, Texas – (Realty News Report) – Clay Development & Construction is developing three manufacturing buildings in the Gulf Inland Logistics Park in Dayton on the northeast side of Houston.
The first two buildings – one at 372,120 SF and one at 72,000 SF, have been completed for Deacero Steel, a Mexican manufacturing company. The recently constructed facility positions Mexico-based Deacero Steel to continue shifting production operations to the United States.
The project, located on Highway 90, is rail-served which enables efficient transport of steel rods and raw materials from Mexico for domestic processing into fencing and other finished goods.
Clay is also developing a third building at the Gulf Inland Logistics Park. The 390,791 SF project, built for GPL Development, is scheduled for completion in August 2026.
JLL Capital Markets recently announced the 444,000-SF of space occupied by Deacero Street has been sold.
Clay recently sold the Deacero Steel facilities to Broadstone Net Lease, an industrial-focused REIT, trading on the NYSE with the symbol BNL.
A JLL Capital Markets team led by Trent Agnew, Charles Strauss and Lance Young represented Clay Development in the deal.
Robert Clay co-founded Clay Development & Construction, Inc. in 1998 with his dad, Al Clay. The firm has developed numerous manufacturing and distribution buildings. The size of Clay’s development portfolio translates to almost 400 football fields under roof.
