DC Partners Breaks Ground in Texas Hill Country

FREDERICKSBURG, Texas – (Realty News Report) – DC Partners has broken ground on The Meuse, a 70,000-SF retail district in its new 22-acre mixed-use destination in the Texas Hill Country.

Located at the corner of U.S. Highway 290 and Main Street, The Meuse will be anchored by the Kimpton Fredericksburg Hotel, which is currently under construction.

Retail leasing is led by Wade Greene and Hannah Schiro of Colliers Houston. Newly announced tenants include Double D Ranch, Fischer & Wieser, and Jackson Ballard Gallery.

“From the beginning, our goal has been to build something that feels like a natural extension of the Fredericksburg culture,” said Blake Berg, Senior Vice President of Development and Construction at Houston-based DC Partners. “Welcoming these respected local and Texas brands reinforces that commitment.”

The Meuse is named after Fredericksburg’s founder, John O. Meusebach, who led a group of German immigrants in creating the town in 1846. Fredericksburg is about 75 miles west from Austin and about 10 miles from Luckenbach, Texas.

High-Rise Development with Acho Azuike of DC Partners

Kimpton Fredericksburg will be the fourth Texas location for the Kimpton brand, which is part of IHG Hotels & Resorts, and expected to open in 2027. The 210-room luxury lifestyle property is designed by Dallas-based Merriman Anderson Architects, with interior design studio Curioso.

DC Partners has developed a number of high-rise residential properties, including The Allen, which is located just west of downtown Houston along Allen Parkway. The Allen also includes a high-rise Thompson Hotel, which is part of the Hyatt hospitality group.
