HOUSTON – (Realty News Report) – Bridgeland homebuyers will have a new option with the opening of Del Webb Bridgeland, the master planned development’s first active adult community designed for age 55 and up.
Del Webb, a division of Atlanta-based PulteGroup, will hold a grand opening Saturday, Oct. 3, at 21606 Denton Creek Drive in Cypress. Fully furnished model homes will be on display. The event is free and open to the public from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Pickleball Plus More
Del Webb Bridgeland is planned for 670 homes in Creekland Village and will have a dedicated lifestyle director. Prices start in the mid $400,000s and home sizes range from 1,600 to 2,712 square feet.
Planned amenities include a clubhouse with a resort-style pool, fitness center, golf simulator, movement studio, and indoor-outdoor pickleball.
Bridgeland, an 11,500-acre development of Howard Hughes Communities, offers new single-family homes for sale, urban townhomes, build-to-rent houses in the Wingspan neighborhood, and apartments. The community’s urban core, Bridgeland Central, is proposed as the site of the Toro District, a mixed-use sports and entertainment district that would serve as the headquarters and training complex of the Houston Texans.

Del Webb recently opened Del Webb Sugar Land at Ryehill and also builds locally in Del Webb Fulshear and Dell Webb in Chambers Creek in Willis.
Sun City Roots
Elsewhere in Texas, the company just broke ground on Del Webb Sonoma Verde in Rockwall, marking the brand’s first community on the east side of the D-FW Metroplex.
Del Webb last year broke ground on Del Webb Austin at Lost Pines in Bastrop, its first development in the Austin area in more than 30 years.
Del Webb was a pioneer in the development of retirement communities with Sun City in Arizona in the 1960s. Sun City Texas opened in Georgetown in the 1990s and is still actively building homes.
Del Webb is a leading builder of new homes designed for pre-retirement and retirees. Del Webb creates places and provides programming for residents to connect through shared activities and hobbies. The company was acquired by Pulte in 2001.
