Houston – Dinerstein Cos. is developing the 21-story Cambridge & Holcombe apartment tower near the Texas Medical Center in Houston.
With a large employment base in the Texas Medical Center, which is the largest medical center in the world, Dinerstein is banking on hospital employment outweighing the negative influence of the decline in Houston’s energy industry.
The 375-unit high rise apartment complex will have 16 stories of residential space over a five story parking garage.
Architecture is by Solomon Cordwell Buenz. Gilbane is general contractor and Power Design, Inc. for electrical design and construction.
“Houston is a busy market for Power Design right now,” said Regional Vice President, Rob McMillian. “Cambridge & Holcombe is one of fourteen projects we currently have in progress in Houston and we see no signs of this trend slowing down.”
Construction on Cambridge & Holcombe is set to be completed by 2017.
