Electric Supply Company Picks Pearland HQ

HOUSTON – (Realty News Report) — Houston-based Lonestar Electric Supply will relocate its rapidly growing industrial division to a new distribution center and headquarters that will bring 75 jobs to Pearland.

Lonestar Electric Industrial Supply will occupy a newly completed 114,680-SF building at 1249 S. Sam Houston Parkway at Hooper Road in the Lower Kirby district, west of Highway 288. The building was developed by Adkisson Group.

Lonestar will begin operations at the facility in the third quarter, supplying products to engineering, procurement and construction firms, end users, and original equipment manufacturers across the U.S.

“The industrial group started in the fall of 2022 and closed out 2024 with nearly $160 million in sales,” said Kevin Hogan, President of Lonestar’s Industrial group. “Lower Kirby’s excellent location with easy access to the Port of Houston and will help us meet demand and fuel continued growth.”

Lonestar joins manufacturing and distribution companies across a variety of industries in Pearland’s 1,200-acre Lower Kirby district. Ranging from life sciences to industrial to energy companies, neighboring businesses include Millar, Endress+Hauser, Lonza, Tool-Flo Manufacturing, PT Solutions, Merit Medical, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Compressor International, Abbott, and Dover Energy.

Lonestar, which has distribution centers in Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Tennessee and headquarters in northwest Houston, was founded as a wholesale distributor of electric supplies in 2015. The industrial division expanded into West Texas in 2023 to better serve oil and gas contractors and opened in Dallas last year.

“Our industry-leading project management program is tailored to each project, and our move into a larger, more dynamic space will keep us on track to continue our on-time deliveries and handle more for our customers’ projects spanning the country,” Hogan said.

“This move will also help us deepen our existing partnerships with global industry leaders such as ABB, Killark, Rittal, Southwire and Hitachi to better serve our customers,” Hogan said.

Among other new Lower Kirby developments, Stream Realty Partners recently broke ground on Kirby District, a two-building industrial development totaling nearly 385,000 SF. Levey Group is completing two buildings that comprise the 650,000-SF Levey Logistics Park at South Sam Houston Parkway and Almeda School Road. United Imaging, a medical imaging company, plans to open a new facility near Tool-Flow in late 2025.
