HOUSTON – (Realty News Report) – First Baptist Church has acquired a seven-story office building and parking garage. The property is located adjacent to the church’s large and prominent location at 7401 Katy Freeway, which is near the “southwest corner” of Katy Freeway and Loop 610.
With the acquisition of the office building, the church gets the ability to expand into the building and access to the parking garage, which it has been leasing for use on Sunday.
The 124,000-SF office building, 701 North Post Oak, was acquired from Alpha Equity LLC and Belridge Investment LP.
“First Baptist Church is adjacent to the property to the northwest and has a shared walkway to the 701 North Post Oak parking lot. They have been leasing the garage for years and have looked at purchasing the building many times,” said Cypressbrook Company’s John Hornbuckle, who represented the sellers. “The timing was perfect.”
Houston’s First Baptist Church was founded in 1841.
