JLL’s Dan Bellow Transitions as New Leader Named

HOUSTON – (Realty News Report) – JLL announced the appointment of tenant representation broker Ronnie Deyo as president of the Houston office, effective Jan. 1, 2026, succeeding longtime Houston commercial real estate veteran Dan Bellow. Upon the transition, Bellow will serve in an advisory role as Chairman for Leasing Advisory.

The two, who are both principal members of the firm’s Houston office, have worked closely together for decades at JLL and previously The Staubach Co.

Dan Bellow

Bellow has more than 50 years of commercial real estate experience, previously serving as President of The Staubach Co. – Houston before its merger with JLL in 2008. That firm was founded by former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Roger Staubach in 1977 with a focus on office occupiers.

Under Bellow’s leadership, JLL has grown from 50 employees and three business service lines in 2008 to more than 360 employees in the corporate office and a dozen service lines today. JLL consolidated its Houston offices to a collaborative workspace in a new Class AA building near River Oaks in 2021.

Bellow’s distinguished career includes honors such as the Greater Houston Partnership’s Robert Onstead Leadership Award in 2009 and NAIOP’s Howard W. Horne Legacy Award in 2013. Active in civic leadership, Bellow has served on the boards of the Texas Medical Center, Greater Houston Partnership, YMCA of Greater Houston, Sam Houston Area Council of Boy Scouts of America and University of Houston Bauer College of Business.

“In this business, I’ve found leadership is about service. Leading a team of independent, driven professionals means understanding how to motivate and encourage, and putting yourself at the bottom of the pyramid to lift others higher. I’m immensely grateful and proud of what we’ve accomplished over the years at JLL and look forward to what this transition will bring to the team and continuing to serve the company through mentorship. Ronnie has always understood the value of exceptional leadership, and I’m confident he is the best person to assume this responsibility,” Bellow said.

A Houston native, Bellow was Chairman of the Greater Houston Partnership in 2009. In an interview with Realty News Report in 2018, Bellow offered these observations about his hometown:

‘We need to focus on our strengths. Strengths of energy, healthcare, aerospace, Port Houston and manufacturing. These sectors will continue to grow, and we need to pursue these kinds of companies while simultaneously diversifying. We are a growing city and always have been. I think more than ever, Houston is recognized as a great global city in which to live, work and play.’ – Dan Bellow in 2018 interview.

Deyo, who has a 30-year career in tenant representation including 15 years as leader of JLL’s Houston Office Tenant Representation Group, will lead JLL’s brokerage teams in Houston and Louisiana. A recipient of multiple NAIOP awards, Deyo has managed large-scale real estate projects for multinational corporations, including HPE’s headquarters relocation to a new campus in City Place, and a new regional headquarters for Dow Chemical.

Ronnie Deyo

“During his tenure at JLL, Dan has shaped the culture of our presence in Houston, operating with integrity first and foremost,” said Deyo. “I have had a front seat to Dan’s remarkable leadership abilities through my years of working alongside him, and I’m incredibly honored that he has placed his trust in me to take over this role. I’m proud of the team we’ve developed here in Houston and am confident that we are well-positioned to keep accomplishing the goals we’ve set for ourselves, especially as Houston’s real estate landscape continues to grow and evolve.”

Chicago-based commercial real estate services firm JLL has more than 300 offices worldwide. With revenue of $23.4 billion, JLL has more than 112,000 employees and operations in over 80 countries.
