Mafrige Buys Energy Corridor Tower

HOUSTON – (Realty News Report) – David Z. Mafrige Interests acquired Kirkwood Tower, a 16-story office building totaling 285,682 SF in Houston’s Energy Corridor.

JLL Capital Markets represented the seller and procured the buyer. Stream Realty Partners will retain the leasing assignment and worked with the buyer through the closing process.

Kirkwood Tower is located at 11757 Katy Fwy (Interstate 10) between Dairy Ashford and Kirkwood Road. in West Houston’s Energy Corridor. The Energy Corridor is home to more than 300 companies, 104,000-plus employees and more than 26 million SF of office space.

Built in 1982, Kirkwood Tower is currently 70% leased and its two largest tenants are Houston-based Texon Oil & Gas and Saulsbury Industries, which is headquartered in Odessa in the Permian Basin of West Texas.

JLL Capital Markets’ team representing the seller was led by Rick Goings and Jeff Hollinden.

Stream Realty Partners’ Matthew Asvestas and Danielle Rothchild lead the leasing efforts at Kirkwood Tower.
