COLLEGE STATION – Midway Cos. will break ground next week on a mixed-use project across the street from the Texas A&M University campus in College Station.
The project called Century Square is also expected to include a 250-room hotel, 30,000 square feet of conference space, 70,000 sf of restaurant/retail, 30,000 square feet of theater and entertainment, 100,000 square feet of office space, 250 multifamily units and 150 senior living units, according to Midway marketing materials. The Gensler architecture firm was involved in designing the project along with other firms that a Midway spokesperson declined to identify.
Houston-based Midway also developed the City Centre project near the intersection of the Sam Houston Tollway and Interstate 10 in Houston.
The College Station development will be located near the intersection of College Avenue and University Drive.
Midway chairman Brad Freels received both his BBA and MBA from Texas A&M University.
