COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Midway Cos., a Houston-based development firm, is developing Century Square, a large mixed-use project in College Station, near Texas A&M University.
Century Square features 60-acres of retail, restaurant, and entertainment options, along with 90,000 square feet of Class-A office space outfitted in a contemporary, modern aesthetic and complemented by onsite apartment homes.
Century Square will also be home to two full service hotels, The George (160-rooms) and Cavalry Court (140-rooms), developed in partnership with the Houston-based luxury hotel management firm The Valencia Group. Both hotel concepts are set to elevate the travel experience for Bryan-College Station visitors and will feature a mixture of outdoor elements and high-end accommodations not traditionally seen in the area. Century Square will open in the fall of 2016.
Midway announced the addition of a 40,000-square-foot Studio Movie Grill, plus a Blaze Pizza and Neighbors Emergency Center College Station to the project. These will be the developer’s first three tenants to secure space.
“Welcoming Studio Movie Grill, Blaze Pizza and Neighbors Emergency Center College Station as Century Square’s newest anchors validates the excitement about what’s on the horizon for the project,” says Jonathan Brinsden, CEO of Midway. “Leasing interest in Century Square is very strong and we are taking our time to curate the right tenant mix for this unique destination.”
Founded in 1968, the Midway portfolio of projects completed and/or underway consists of 44 million square feet of properties in 23 states and Northern Mexico ranging from mixed-use centers, corporate headquarters, multi-family, entertainment, hospitality, business and industrial parks, and master-planned resort and residential communities.
