HOUSTON – Commercial real estate veteran Darren Amato has joined Gulf Coast Commercial Group in the position of Vice President of Capital Markets. Previously, Amato was with Weingarten Realty Investors, most recently serving as Senior Vice President of Investments. In that role at Weingarten, he oversaw Capital Markets, Acquisitions, Disposition and Joint Venture relationships with private and institutional partners. Before that, he was with Forest City Enterprises of Cleveland, Ohio. Brad Kilbride, formerly of Lee & Associates – Houston and Regency Centers, has been appointed to the role of leasing associate at Gulf Coast.
HOUSTON – Kimberly Mercer has been promoted to director of planning and place at the PDR Corp.architecture firm.
FORT WORTH – M2G Ventures, a North Texas-based real estate investment and development company, named Mark Collier as its chief financial and operations officer.
CHICAGO – Paul Melkus has joined 29th Street Capital (29SC) as Chief Financial Officer and Head of Capital Markets. The Chicago-based firm specializes in multifamily and has acquired about 20 projects in Houston.
TEMPE, Ariz. – Adolfson & Peterson Construction promoted Scott Salyer to vice president of project development and hired Brian Kinney as vice president of operations.
CHEVY CHASE, MD – NewPoint Real Estate Capital appointed Susan Mudry as Chief Operating Officer.
NEW YORK – M&T Bank announced that Matthew Orrino has been named a Managing Director and head of Institutional Commercial Real Estate Capital Markets at M&T Investment Banking.
CHICAGO – In a move to boost its multifamily practice, JLL Valuation Advisory group has hired Nik Bex, as executive vice president in its Chicago office. Bex will focus on building the multi-housing platform in the Midwest.
LOS ANGELES – The O’Melveny law firm announced that real estate attorney Peter J. Breckheimer has joined the firm’s Los Angeles office as a partner in the Project Development & Real Estate Practice Group.
KANSAS CITY – MMG Real Estate Advisors announced that Jonathan Rappa has joined the firm as Director of Research.
