HOUSTON – (Realty News Report) – Rand Stephens, Avison Young Principal and Managing Director of the firm’s Houston office announced the strategic hiring of Jimmy Board  as Avison Young Principal, Capital Markets in Houston. Board specializes in debt and equity and will expand the capital markets service line. Board joins Avison Young from JLL … John Kevill,  Principal and President of U.S. Capital Markets, has overseen the expansion of the Avison Young’s  investment sales, debt and equity capabilities.

John Spafford  has joined CBRE as an Executive Vice President.Spafford will continue to handle leasing responsibilities for two of Houston’s major office towers: TC Energy Center, a 1.26 million SF

project in Downtown Houston and the 1.2 million SF Marathon Oil Tower, 5555 San Felipe. He most recently served as Executive Vice President and Director of Leasing for Madison Marquette in Houston where he handled leasing for a 12 million SF portfolio.

NAI Partners’ NAI Investment Fund is pleased to announce that it has promoted Adam Hawkins to Vice President of Acquisitions.“Adam has played an instrumental role in establishing and growing the investment fund division,” said Andrew Pappas, Partner at NAI Partners and head of the NAI Investment Funds.

Central Houston, Inc., a membership organization that acts as steward of Houston’s vision for the redevelopment and revitalization of Downtown, announced Jonathan H. Brinsden, chief executive officer of real estate development and investment firm Midway, as its 2020 board chair.

Houston-based Patrinely Group announced several employee promotions. Patrick Higgins  was promoted to chief investment officer of Patrinely Group. Based in the New York office, he serves as a key part of the executive management team and is responsible for new deal origination and execution for all investment platforms at Patrinely Group, including its latest fund, Patrinely Real Estate Fund II. … Brian Tierney was promoted to Senior Development Manager of Patrinely Group. Based in the Houston office, he is currently working on the 400,000-square-foot CPS Energy development in downtown San Antonio.

Lauren Crenshaw  was recently promoted to Senior Property Manager of Patrinely Group. Based in The Woodlands, she oversees the management of 430,800 SF.

Steven Seltzer, former Vice President of Operations for National Projects at The Howard Hughes Corporation, will assume the role of President at Sheridan Commercial, a boutique commercial real estate advisory firm.

Cindy Simpson was named co-regional managing principal of the South Central region. She joins Judy Pesekin overseeing Gensler’s offices in Dallas, Houston, Austin and San Antonio. Simpson will also continue in her current capacity as Co-Managing Director of the Dallas office along with her partner, Steven Upchurch.

The Richland Companies announced two promotions in their Houston office, Raven Burleson as Property Manager and Nancy Baugher as Accounting Manager.

Matthew Morris  stepped down from his position as President of Stewart Information Services Corp., a Houston-based firm. He will continue to serve on the board of Stewart, which was founded in 1893.

ORANGE COUNTY, Calif.    Greg Brown has been named co-lead for JLL Capital Markets in its Orange County, Calif. office.  Brown will lead the office’s debt and equity placement business, while Sean Deasy will continue to lead the office’s investment advisory platform.

CHARLOTTE, NC – Crescent Communities promoted Brian Natwick to President and Chief Operating Officer. Natwick will assume oversight of all development and construction for the multifamily and commercial businesses of Crescent Communities and will report to Todd Mansfield,
