Regency Scores in the Lone Star State

AUSTIN – (Realty News Report) – Regency Centers has acquired University Commons, a 218,000 SF shopping center anchored by H-E-B.

Located at the northeast corner of I-35 and University Boulevard in Round Rock, on the north side of Austin.

The center is 94% leased and sits on 33.3 acres. The site is west of Taylor, Texas, where Samsung is building a $17 billion plant that will manufacture advanced chips for artificial intelligence and employ 2,000 people

The Round Rock acquisition increased Regency Centers’ portfolio in the Austin metropolitan area to 1 million SF. The Round Rock center is part of Regency’s ongoing expansion in the Texas market.

Regency Centers recently disclosed plans to develop an H-E-B-anchored center in Johnson Development’s Jordan Ranch community in Fulshear on the west side of Houston.

Regency’s Jordan Ranch Market, planned for 162,000 SF will be built on 22 acres just south of the Katy Freeway,

Based in Jacksonville, Fla., Regency Centers is a retail-focused REIT with 482 centers containing 61 million SF nationwide.
