The 23,500-Acre ‘East Mile High Ranch’ is For Sale; West Texas Property with Airstrip

The East Mile High Ranch is for sale.

SIERRA BLANCA, Texas – The General Land Office of the State of Texas is moving to sell the 23,500-acre East Mile High Ranch in Sierra Blanca, about an hour’s drive from El Paso, according to CBRE.

This large ranch is fronting FM1111 and is located just north of IH 10 in Sierra Blanca, in Hudspeth County in West Texas. The ranch is a large relatively flat open range with typical patches of grass and low growing scrub brush surrounded by scenic mountains and the big West Texas sky.

The property is improved by a 6,000-foot by 75-foot runway for fly-in and out access. In addition to the airstrip, there is a small hangar with room for two small aircrafts along with an interior conditioned office.

Eric DeJernett with CBRE and Alton Setliff with Southwest Commercial are representing the General Land Office in the sale.

“This is a rare opportunity to buy an extremely large contiguous ranch with its own private FAA rated airfield for true fly-in and out West Texas life,” says Eric DeJernett, Senior Vice President at CBRE. “The property is ideal for one very large secluded ranch or a buyer looking to develop a cluster of several large ranches that might share amenities such as the airstrip.”

CBRE and Southwest Commercial will be actively marketing the property to secure the highest and best price for the GLO, CBRE said in a press release.
