HOUSTON – (Realty News Report) – Avison Young negotiated the lease of 89,445 SF of industrial space for ZXP Technologies at 2700 East Freeway in Baytown, on the east side of the Houston.
Avison Young principal Bob Berry and vice president Grant Hortenstine represented the tenant, ZXP Technologies. JLL represented the landlord, Pontikes Development.
“As the energy market continues to improve, companies like ZXP Technologies will continue to grow and expand their market,” said Berry, a veteran in Houston industrial real estate. “The petrochemical industry remains the driving force behind Houston’s industrial market.”
The project is located south of Interstate 10 in the Port 10 Logistics Center and will serve as the major distribution facility for ZXP’s manufactured lubricant-based products. The 250-acre Port 10 Logistics Center, developed by Pontikes Development, is located near Thompson Road and it is rail and barge served, with direct access to four deep-water terminals.

Houston has a significant amount of industrial buildings under construction, over 16 million SF, accoring to some real estate firms.
