HOUSTON – (Realty News Report) – A new community is coming to Waller that will offer nearly 1,000 new homes in a growing region for homebuilding on Houston’s far northwest side.
Trez Capital announced an equity investment in Wildrye North, a 429-acre community being developed along the Highway 290 corridor. The project is a joint venture with Land Strategies Management.
It is adjacent to the Wildrye community at Stokes Road and Castle Road, about 45 miles northwest of downtown Houston.
“Houston remains one of the most active homebuilding markets in the country and the Northwest Houston corridor continues to benefit from population growth, job creation and relative affordability,” said John D. Hutchinson, Co-CEO and Global Head of Origination at Trez Capital. “Wildrye North reflects the strength of residential lot development in high-growth U.S. markets where builder activity and market fundamentals support disciplined execution.”
Planned for 998 homes, Wildrye North will be delivered in three phases with finished lots sold to national homebuilders. Approximately 300 lots are under contract to builders.
Home builders in Wildrye North were not announced. The builders in neighboring Wildrye include Ashton Woods Homes, Castlerock Communities, Chesmar Homes, DRB Homes, Drees Custom Homes, Highland Homes, and M/I Homes.
Wildrye North joins a number of new communities taking shape in Waller County, including Attwater, Beacon Hill, and Oakberry Trails.
Trez Capital is making the investment through its in Trez Capital U.S. Opportunity Fund #9 Limited Partnership.
“Wildrye North builds on an established relationship with a proven development partner in a market where lot demand is already demonstrated,” said Sam Salloway, Senior Managing Director, Head of Equity Investments, Trez Capital.
