12 Houston Convenience Stores Sold in $100M Deal

HOUSTON – (Realty News Report) – Getty Realty Corp. closed on the $100 million acquisition of a dozen stores from Houston-based convenience store chain Now & Forever in a sale-leaseback transaction.

Founded in 2005 by brothers Zain and Shayan Farooqi, privately-owned Now & Forever operates 25 convenience stores in the Houston area, selling fuel, snacks, meals, wine, and other merchandise. The acquired properties are located in Houston’s West and Southwest submarkets and average more than 8,000 SF.

The deal significantly expands Getty Realty’s portfolio in one of its biggest markets. At year end, the company owned 100 properties in Texas representing 8.9% of its portfolio.

In conjunction with the purchase, the New York-based company simultaneously entered into a long-term, unitary net lease with a subsidiary of Now & Forever.

Getty Realty’s latest acquisition is part of $233 million in convenience and automotive retail asset investments so far in 2025.
