CHICAGO – A nine-story office building under development in Chicago will be the global headquarters of McDonald’s Corp. The site was previously home to Oprah Winfrey’s Harpo Studios.
Holliday Fenoglio Fowler arranged a $209 million construction loan for the development of the 567,000-SF building, 110 North Carpenter.
HFF worked on behalf of the developer, a partnership of Chicago-based Sterling Bay and institutional investors advised by J.P. Morgan Asset Management, to place the construction loan with Bank of America and Wintrust Financial.
A Hamburger University training center will be in the Gensler-designed building, which will have ground-floor retail.
Sterling bought the site from Winfrey for $30 million.
