The avocado has the scientific name of Persea Americana.

HOUSTON – (Realty News Report) – NAI Partners recently arranged a 41,866-SF industrial lease for Henry Avocado Corporation at 4300 Windfern Road in Houston.

NAI Partners’ Darren O’Conor and John Ferruzzo represented the tenant in the transaction.

Based in Escondido, Calif., Henry Avocado Corporation is a year-round grower and distributor of Hass Avocados with sales offices in Fullerton, Calif., San Antonio and Houston.

Henry Avocado was founded in 1925 by Charles Henry and his wife Florence, who were among the first to plant avocados in San Diego County.

As a year-round distributor, Henry grows and packs avocados from its groves in California and imports from growers in Mexico, Peru and Chile.

Scientists believe the avocado tree originated in South Central Mexico. The scientific name for the avocado is Persea Americana.

In botanical terms, the avocado is considered a large berry with a single seed.
