Houston Buildings Win BOMA Awards

WASHINGTON, D.C. – (Realty News Report) – Three standout Houston buildings were recognized as The Outstanding Building of the Year Awards winners this week at the 2026 BOMA International Conference & Expo. The buildings were among 19 properties to receive TOBY awards, which honor excellence in commercial building management and operations.

To be judged in the international competition, a property must first win both local and regional competitions. Properties are judged across various categories based on criteria such as community impact, tenant and employee relations programs, energy management, accessibility, emergency evacuation procedures, building personnel training programs, and overall excellence.

The following properties won the 2026 TOBY Awards:

Medical Office Building category: Memorial Hermann Medical Plaza. The property, located in the Texas Medical Center, is managed by JLL and owned by LaSalle Investment Management.

250,000 to 499,999 Square Feet category: Two Eldridge. The office building, located in the Eldridge Place complex in west Houston’s Energy Corridor, is managed and owned by Granite Properties.

500,000 to 1 Million Square Feet category: Bank of America Tower. The downtown Houston office building is managed by Transwestern and owned by Beacon Capital Partners.

The 2026 BOMA International TOBY Awards were sponsored by The Home Depot.

Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) International and its institute, Building Owners and Managers Institute (BOMI), serve the entire commercial real estate community, including owners, managers, property professionals, engineers, and service providers of all commercial building types, encompassing office, industrial, medical, corporate, government, and mixed-use.
