RNR People in Real Estate – (Realty News Report) – LUBBOCK, Texas – Heath Melton has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Caprock Development. Caprock Development is an entity of Caprock Partners, the Lubbock-based family home office behind Lubbock Land Co. Formerly with Howard Hughes, Melton has more than two decades of leadership experience in real estate, master planned community development, and mixed-use planning and execution, will advance the company’s growth in West Texas and other Texas markets.

HOUSTON – Stephanie Pons Reece has joined Gensler as the Regional Healthcare Practice Leader, based in Houston. She will be covering offices in Houston, Dallas, Nashville, Austin, Kansas City, and San Antonio. Previously, Stephanie worked at Baylor College of Medicine and Texas Children’s Hospital and contributed to global public health initiatives in South Africa, Spain, and Argentina. She earned a BA in International Studies from Middlebury College, an MPH from Brown University, and an MBA from Rice University.
HOUSTON – Pagewood, a Houston-based real estate investment and operations firm, announced two key hires to support expansion into Dallas/Fort Worth and Central Texas. Susan Pohl joins the firm as Senior Vice President, spearheading multifamily investments. She has 30 years of multifamily investment experience and has led acquisitions, financing, underwriting, and asset management totaling over $4 billion and 35,000 units. Daniel Burnum joins as Investment Analyst. He previously was with Berkadia. They will work alongside Taylor Beakey. Pagewood recently raised $25 million for GP Fund I for acquisition and development activity in multifamily and industrial asset classes.
HOUSTON – Jeb Kolby has been promoted to president of Ember, a real estate investment and development firm. Kolby led the launch of The Grand Prairie in Hockley, the company’s first master-planned community. He previously served as director of Land Development at Friendswood Development Co.
HOUSTON – Gilbane Building has hired John Bonney as Vice President and Business Leader for Texas. Bonney will focus on strengthening client relationships, supporting project teams, and driving strategic growth initiatives throughout Texas. The firm’s Houston projects include the George R. Brown Convention District Transformation Project, Texas Tower, The Ion, and the Mickey Leland International Terminal at George Bush Intercontinental Airport.

DALLAS – Granite Properties announced that Granite’s Investment Manager, Carson Dennis, has been promoted to Director of Investments. He will continue to report to Bill Brown, Granite’s President and Chief Investment Officer. Carson’s responsibilities include evaluating, coordinating and executing new investment opportunities in Class A+ office acquisitions and developments in top submarkets in Sun Belt cities.
DALLAS – Balfour Beatty has appointed William “Bill” Motherway as vice president of Risk for its U.S. Infrastructure operations. Balfour Beatty provides general contracting, at-risk construction management and design-build services for public and private sector clients across the U.S.
DALLAS – Universal Hospitality Solutions has hired Joseph “Joe” Jennings as general manager of Crowne Plaza Dallas Downtown by IHG, a 291-key hotel with 30,000 SF of event space. Most recently, Jennings served as VP of DFW-based Q Companies, which owns and operates multiple hotels and automatic car washes.
LAS VEGAS – Blake Leavitt joined the Las Vegas office of Nevada-based Logic Commercial Real Estate as a Vice President specializing in multifamily and commercial investment sales.
ROYAL OAK, Mich. – Kirk Klatt has joined Agree Realty Corp. as Vice President of Leasing. Agree Realty is a publicly traded REIT with more than 2,513 retail properties totaling 52 million SF across the U.S.
DENVER – Vic Lombardo has joined RE/MAX Holdings as President of Mortgage Services. In this role, he will oversee growth and operations for the company’s mortgage services, including Motto Mortgage and wemlo, a third-party mortgage processing solution.
DALLAS – CBRE announced the expansion of its Debt & Structured Finance team in Dallas with the addition of Andy Scott, Michael Cosby, and Kris Lowe as Vice Chairs. The team joins CBRE from JLL, where they served as Senior Managing Directors following the firm’s acquisition of HFF in 2019. They will focus on expanding CBRE’s Debt & Structured Finance capabilities across Texas by originating and executing debt and equity placement transactions across all property types, with an emphasis on multifamily assets.
MEMPHIS – Dave Zelman, AIA, has been appointed as Senior Vice President of Development at Poag Development Group. Zelman will oversee design and construction efforts across Poag’s portfolio of retail and mixed-use properties. Zelman previously served as Vice President of Architecture and Design at The Cordish Companies.
