 RNR Real Estate Briefs from Realty News Report  –HOUSTON — LyondellBasell, a multinational chemical company, signed a 318,504 SF lease for its U.S. operations headquarters at Williams Tower adjacent to the Galleria. Craig Beyer  and Kevin Saxe  with CBRE represented the tenant. Nina Seyyedin  and Warren Savery,  also with CBRE,   represented the landlord, Invesco Real Estate. The 64-story building, which opened in 1983, was developed by Hines. This is the largest office lease signed in Houston this year. LyondellBasell will relocate from Houston Center in downtown.


HOUSTON — Brennan Investment Group acquired 10.8 acres in Houston where it will develop an industrial, rear-load building totaling 157,300 SF. The property is at 500 N. Sam Houston Parkway W, adjacent to Beltway 8. “The newly acquired property is part of Brennan’s ongoing strategy which focuses on investing in high-quality real estate across the country,” said Troy MacMane, managing principal for Brennan’s Texas region.


HOUSTON – Transwestern Real Estate Services  announced that Nevada Career Education, is opening its first Houston location with a 53,000 SF leased site at Southwest Corporate Center, a 525,580 SF campus at 9700 Bissonnet, near Beltway 8. Transwestern’s Michelle Wogan  and Paula Musa  represented the landlord, Omninet SWCC, LP.


HOUSTON – Glo Dental Group has leased 3,600 SF of retail space in Eldridge Lakes Town Center, near Eldridge Parkway and West Little York Road, from NewQuest Properties. Lara Lee LaMendola  of NewQuest represented the landlord. Jim Reed  of Brazos Management & Leasing  represented the tenant.


ROSENBERG, Texas – Solis Mammography has leased 1,799 SF of retail space in Brazos Town Center near US Highway 59 from NewQuest Properties. Bob Conwell  and Austen Baldridge  of NewQuest represented the landlord. Corey Glasscock  of CBRE  represented the tenant.


HOUSTON — Autumn Reef, LLC, purchased a 6,875 SF building on a 20,000 SF lot at 8625 Schumacher Lane, for the storage of construction materials and a local office. The firm was represented by Adriana Gonzalez Perez  of Nan and Company Properties.  The property was previously owned by Keshmesh, LLC, an entrepreneurial truck resale business. The seller was represented by Cotton Munson  of Davis Commercial Real Estate.


TOMBALL, Texas — AT&T has leased 1,725 SF of retail space in Grand Parkway Town Center from NewQuest Properties. Andrew Alvis  of NewQuest represented the landlord. Elliott Bridger  of Streetwise Retail Advisors represented the tenant.


SUGAR LAND, Texas – Partners Real Estate arranged an 8,141-SF sublease with 3E Petroleum Services LLC located at 710 Industrial Blvd in Sugar Land. Partners’ John Zivley represented the sublandlord, Lucky Moving, in the transaction. The subtenant was represented by Charles Li of Walzel Properties.


TOMBALL, Texas — Jersey Mike’s Subs leased retail space in Grand Parkway Town Center in Tomball from NewQuest Properties. Andrew Alvis  of NewQuest represented the landlord. Lane Zieben  and Lasater Miller  of the Retail Connection  represented the tenant.

TEXAS — RNR Real Estate Briefs from Realty News Report

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio-based Koontz Corp. announced plans to develop Frontera Logistics Supersite, a 188-acre, master-planned industrial mega-site that will be one of the largest infill sites inside Loop 410. Frontera Logistics Supersite is in South San Antonio near I-35. The master development plan accommodates up to 2.8 million SF of manufacturing and warehouse space along with parking for 3,350 cars and 812 trailers.


IRVING, Texas – Antech Diagnostics Inc. has signed a 22,578 SF renewal and expansion, adding 9,578 SF of flex space in Royal Jetstar Tech Center, 4040 W. Royal Lane, Irving, from Pre DFW Airport, LLC. Jason Finch  and Michael W. Spain  of Bradford Commercial Real Estate Services  represented the landlord. Ryan Buchanan  of CBRE  represented the tenant.


GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas – Cushman & Wakefield  has secured a 4,362 SF lease for Texan Glass & Solar Control, Inc., one of the largest glass and solar control companies in Texas, to expand its business into the Dallas area at One Paddock Place in Grand Prairie. Texan Glass currently has locations in The Woodlands, Houston, Beaumont, Corpus Christi and Victoria. Zach Bean  and Jay Benner  of Cushman & Wakefield represented the tenant. Paddock Partnership is the landlord.


MISSION, Texas – Partners Real Estate arranged the sale of a 49,320-SF. medical office building located at 909 Business Park Drive in Mission. Partners’ Gustavo Torres represented the seller, MMP Development, in the transaction. Alex Wenzel of Sands Investment Group represented the buyer.


DALLAS – Cushman & Wakefield secured a 30,650-SF lease with Forv/s on behalf of Taconic Capital Advisors at International Plaza 2, a Class A+ office building located in Dallas. Matt Schendle, Chris Taylor and Carrie Halbrooks of Cushman & Wakefield represented the landlord and Clay Vaughn and Jihane Boury represented the tenant.

NATIONAL – RNR Real Estate Briefs from Realty News Report

KANSAS CITY – TopSide Marinas, a Texas-based firm, acquired Rock Creek Marina, a 188-acre marina on Lake Perry less than 50 miles between Kansas City and Topeka. TopSide Marinas also owns and operates Larsen Marine in Waukegan Harbor, Ill., on Lake Michigan, North Point Marina on Lake Belton in Temple, Texas, as well as Galveston Yacht Marina, south of Houston.


SALT LAKE CITY — Patrinely,  a Houston-based firm, has leased 14,556 SF of office space on the ground floor of 650 Main to PhyNet Dermatology. Located in downtown Salt Lake City, 650 Main is a 10-story, 335,000 SF Class A office and retail development.


LAS VEGAS — California-based BKM Capital Partners, a vertically integrated institutional fund manager, acquired the Decatur Business Center in Las Vegas for $25.9 million. Terry York Properties  sold the 88,205 SF light industrial building.


PITTSBURGH, Pa. – Build Manufacturing, an industrial manufacturing group announced the expansion of a 175,000 SF regional manufacturing headquarters in Westmoreland County, near Pittsburgh and the Allegheny River. The expansion will represent $81 million in total capital expenditure and will create 300 new manufacturing jobs.
