Arch-Con Expands Into Denver Market

DENVER – (Realty News Report) – Arch-Con Corporation, a Houston-based commercial general contractor, is expanding into Denver, where it will initially focus on building industrial, office and multifamily projects.

Arch-Con purchased an office building in Denver’s Cherry Creek area for its Colorado operations where it is hiring additional personnel.

“Denver is a consistently dynamic commercial real estate market,” Arch-Con Founder Michael G. Scheurich said. “Therefore, we wanted to invest in Arch-Con’s future here and what better location than Cherry Creek.”

Arch-Con was founded in 2000 in Houston. The construction firm opened a Dallas office in 2016, followed by an Austin office in early 2021 and says its now bullish on the Mile High City.

“Arch-Con has evaluated a presence in Denver since 2015,” Scheurich said. “We have a number of relationships with Texas-based developers that conduct business in Denver and also Denver-based developers that have encouraged us to set up an office in this market.  Arch-Con has built nearly 50-million SF of tilt-wall warehouses over the past two decades and Denver’s growth in this product type is a perfect fit for the company. With Denver’s labor challenges and limited subcontractor resources, we intend to bring new ideas to project execution.”

Arch-Con, which also has constructed hotels, medical buildings and retail, will soon expand to other property types in Denver, Scheurich said.

The company is under construction with its first industrial project in the Denver area and actively working through preliminary pricing, site plans and pre-construction on a number of projects.

“Our expertise in the industrial construction process from concept to completion allows the company to be a partner with the client and not just a service provider,” Arch-Con Senior Vice President and Colorado Regional Manager Chris Heath said. “We are fortunate to have key, tenured individuals join our team that know Denver well.”

Two Denver-based leaders, vice president Chad Headlee and project developer Erin Kelley, recently joined Arch-Con.

Arch-Con is a licensed general contractor in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas with offices in Houston, Dallas, Austin and Denver.

In the Cypress area in northwest Houston, Arch-Con Corp. recently completed the four-story Doctors Pavilion on Huffmeister Road for Denver-based NexCore Group, a healthcare and seniors housing developer.

Arch-Con also handled the redevelopment of the old Palace Bowling Lanes on Bellaire Boulevard, which was transformed into the Southside Commons mixed-use development.
